The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Secretariat and the Anti-Corruption Department find themselves embroiled in a heated debate over the issue of unlawful recruitments within the assembly. The Assembly Secretariat has categorically denied providing any records pertaining to these recruitments, leading to a tense standoff between the two entities.
The Anti-Corruption Department has taken the decision to initiate legal action against the Secretariat for failing to disclose the requested records. A formal letter has been dispatched to the Secretary of the Assembly, accusing the concerned officer of employing deceitful tactics to evade record disclosure. It is worth noting that reminders have been sent on three separate occasions to emphasize the importance of providing the recruitment records. Clear instructions have been issued to ensure compliance in furnishing the requested information.
The Anti-Corruption Department has further cautioned that non-compliance with the record disclosure may result in legal repercussions. In accordance with Section 175 of the Constitution, appropriate action will be taken if the records are not provided.
It is evident that more than 100 illicit hirings, ranging from Grade 16 to Grade 18, took place within the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. The Federal Investigation Agency has taken up the investigation into these illegal recruitments, transferring the case to the Anti-Corruption Department.
