UAE Astronaut, Sultan Al Neyadi, has been on a remarkable journey aboard the International Space Station (ISS), capturing awe-inspiring images of our beautiful planet. In a breathtaking display of his talent, on 10 May, Al Neyadi seized a perfect moment to photograph Lahore, Pakistan, also known as the enchanting City of Gardens. Just days later, he once again worked his magic, capturing a stunning image of Lucknow in northern India. These photographs are a testament to the sheer beauty and diversity of our world.
Al Neyadi’s journey at the ISS began on 3 March, marking a historic milestone as the first Arab astronaut to embark on a long-duration space mission. But that’s not all. He made headlines once again when he became the first Arab astronaut to venture outside the station for a spacewalk, spending an astonishing seven hours conducting vital maintenance tasks in the vastness of space. To top it off, he even celebrated his 42nd birthday up there, surprised with a cake from his fellow astronauts.
Recently, officials at the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre in Dubai praised Al Neyadi for completing half of his six-month mission, commending his unwavering dedication to science and the remarkable strides he has made.
