The United States has expressed its determination to combat terrorist groups in the region alongside Pakistan. During a press briefing, US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller stated that they acknowledge Pakistan’s efforts in countering terrorism but expect continued actions from Pakistan to enforce restrictions on all terrorist groups.
Miller emphasized that the Pakistani population has been greatly affected by terrorism for many years, and there is consistent communication with Pakistani authorities as part of the 2023 Counterterrorism Dialogue. He urged India and Pakistan to maintain a ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC).
Furthermore, Miller stated that the United States will continue raising concerns about human rights violations in India, an issue that President Joe Biden also addressed in his recent press conference.
