Quetta witnessed a devastating incident as two brave policemen lost their lives while safeguarding a polio vaccination team.
The city was in the midst of a polio eradication campaign when the attack occurred in the Shalman Kali area. Unidentified assailants opened fire on the polio team, resulting in the loss of two dedicated police officers who were responsible for the team’s security.
Following the shooting, the police and emergency services swiftly responded to the scene, and the bodies were taken to the hospital. In the aftermath of the attack on the polio vaccination team, authorities have tightened security for teams administering drops to children in the city.
