The recent scandal surrounding Islamia University Bahawalpur has taken a surprising turn as an inquiry commission has officially declared the accusations of obscene videos baseless. In a report, the commission has stated that there is no evidence to support the allegations and that the videos in question have no connection with Islamia University.
This revelation comes after the Governor of Punjab took swift action by establishing a one-member tribunal, led by Justice Sardar Mohammad Sarfraz Dogar, to investigate the matter thoroughly. Justice Dogar is known for his unwavering commitment to upholding justice.
The scandal, which involved over 5,000 obscene videos allegedly linked to the university, had sent shockwaves through Bahawalpur. The police have been accused of trying to suppress the scandal, while university officials claim that the arrest of three officers, including the university’s director of finance, Dr. Abuzar, Chief Security Officer Syed Ejaz Shah, and transport officer Altaf, is part of a conspiracy against the institution.
However, the report sent to the caretaker chief minister has revealed troubling findings. It includes the recovery of hundreds of student videos and eight grams of the drug Ice from Ejaz Shah’s possession.
In response, DPO Abbas Shah has challenged the allegations against Islamia University, revealing that 113 drug-addict students are enrolled in the university, suggesting prejudice against the institution.
