The Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court was enraged by the commotion caused by the workers of Awami National Party (ANP) during the appearance of their provincial president Aimal Wali Khan, and left the hearing to go to his chamber.
The hearing was scheduled for today at the Peshawar High Court on a petition against Aimal Wali Khan for contempt of court. The Peshawar High Court had summoned Aimal Wali Khan on January 11 in the contempt of court case.
When Aimal Wali Khan arrived for the hearing, the courtroom was crowded and there was a lot of noise outside. The hearing was disrupted by the chaos and the Chief Justice asked them to be quiet or he would not hear the case. The Chief Justice ordered the security DSP to normalize the situation and then he would hear the case, and got up and went to his chamber.
The petitioner against Aimal Wali Khan was former member of National Assembly Fazal Muhammad Khan, who was surrounded by the workers of Awami National Party. The ANP workers fought with Fazal Muhammad Khan and subjected him to violence.
Fazal Muhammad Khan said in his petition that Aimal Wali used indecent words against the Chief Justice of High Court and made baseless allegations against him. The petitioner said that Aimal Wali also threatened the Chief Justice. The PTI leader said in his petition that Aimal Wali was trying to put pressure on the judiciary.
