Peshawar Zalmi, one of the most successful and popular teams in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), has announced a partnership with Mashriq, the leading regional Urdu newspaper, for the upcoming ninth edition of the tournament.
Mashriq will be the official regional Urdu newspaper partner of Peshawar Zalmi for HBL PSL 9, which is scheduled to take place from 17 February to 18 March 2024 across four cities in Pakistan. The partnership aims to promote cricket and Peshawar Zalmi’s brand among the Urdu-speaking audience in the country, especially in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where both the entities have a strong presence and fan base.
Peshawar Zalmi, the winners of the 2017 edition and the runners-up of the 2021 edition, have a star-studded squad for the upcoming season, featuring the likes of Babar Azam, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Rovman Powell, and Dan Mousley. The team will play its home matches at the Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar, where it will face fierce competition from the other five franchises.
Mashriq, established in 1963, is one of the oldest and most widely circulated Urdu newspapers in Pakistan, covering national and international news, sports, entertainment, and more.
