Founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, has relayed a message through his legal representatives stating the formation of governments in the federal, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces. Khan emphasized that the ongoing events should not exceed the bounds of civility. He urged the candidates whose results were altered to come out and peacefully protest.
According to the reports, Imran Khan met with his lawyers in jail. Following the meeting, Advocate Amir Niazi addressed the media, conveying PTI’s congratulations to the nation on the election results. He reiterated that the nation stands firm on principles of democracy and participation, noting the record voter turnout exceeding 1970 figures.
Khan’s message, as per his lawyers, reaffirmed PTI’s commitment to form governments and appealed to the nation to uphold peace amidst the ongoing developments. He stressed the importance of respecting the electoral mandate, urging peaceful protests in case of electoral malpractice.
