Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has clinched successful negotiations with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians (PTI-P), regarding government formation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a move confirmed by Ziaullah Bangash.
According to details emerging from the discussions, both PTI and PTI-P have reached consensus on securing governance and specific seats through the first two fruitful rounds of talks, culminating in the finalization of all pertinent issues during joint sessions of both entities.
Ziaullah Bangash, the spokesperson for PTI, affirmed the negotiations within the party, stating that internal teams have resolved matters concerning the allocation of specific seats and governance structures. It’s been highlighted that PTI and PTI-P have fundamentally agreed to unity, necessitating the formation of a specialized team comprising legal experts from both sides to assess legal matters related to seat acquisitions.
Sources indicate that in the absence of legal hurdles or complexities, notable members from PTI who have garnered support will be included in the PTI-P leadership, should they merge. Bangash elucidated that while the decision reflects the consent of leadership from both sides, it’s imperative to clarify that Pervez Khattak’s resignation doesn’t stem from the consolidation of both entities but due to health concerns, prompting his resignation from party chairmanship and foundational membership.
Bangash further disclosed that following Pervez Khattak’s departure, former Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has assumed leadership within PTI-P, aligning himself with PTI’s leadership to propel the consolidation process forward.
The successful negotiations within PTI and PTI-P signify a crucial step towards political stability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, promising a collaborative approach to governance and administration.
