In a startling incident reported from Hyderabad, India, a businesswoman allegedly coerced a local music channel anchor into marriage after he declined her proposal. According to police reports, the woman initiated contact with the anchor after viewing his profile on a matrimonial website, where she created a fake account using his name.
As per police accounts, when the woman messaged the anchor on WhatsApp, he discovered the fake account and informed her about legal actions against the impersonation. In response to pressure for marriage, the anchor blocked her number. However, she persisted in pursuing him, using tracking systems to locate his office and hiring goons to abduct and coerce him into marriage after paying them.
Police authorities state that the anchor was convinced by the woman that not only would he maintain contact with her but also marry her, after which she released him. Subsequently, the anchor filed a case against the woman, leading to her arrest after being detained.
This incident sheds light on the dangers of online impersonation and coercion, highlighting the need for vigilance and legal recourse against such fraudulent activities.
