In a decisive move to tackle terrorism head-on, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTDC) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has initiated a comprehensive operation, setting bounties totaling over 1 crore for 11 highly sought-after terrorists involved in recent attacks.
The CTDC, tasked with maintaining peace and security in the region, has compiled a meticulous list of wanted terrorists for the year 2024. This list includes detailed profiles and images of individuals deemed a significant threat to public safety.
Among the wanted terrorists are individuals originating from various regions within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Notably, Lucky Marwat and Bannu have contributed a significant number to the list, with 5 and 4 wanted terrorists respectively. Additionally, one terrorist each hails from Shangla and Swat.
Leading the list is Habibullah, known by the alias Saifullah, with a bounty of 50 lakh rupees on his head. His origin from Lucky Marwat indicates the widespread reach of terrorism within the province. Similarly, Mohammad Jameel, originating from Bannu, carries a substantial bounty of 30 lakh rupees.
Other wanted terrorists include Mohammad Gul, alias Saki, and Rabidullah, known as Chag, both from Lucky Marwat and Bannu respectively, each with bounties of 10 lakh rupees.
This initiative by CTDC comes as a follow-up to its previous efforts, wherein three lists of wanted terrorists were issued last year, encompassing a total of 294 individuals. With the latest additions, the CTDC has now set bounties for 305 wanted terrorists, demonstrating a relentless commitment to combating terrorism in the region.
Sources within CTDC have indicated that individuals involved in recent attacks have been swiftly added to the wanted list, underscoring the department’s proactive approach towards maintaining peace and security.
