Recent events have seen an escalation in terrorism incidents from Afghan territory into Pakistan. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, militants attempt to infiltrate from the Pak-Afghan border, with security forces eliminating 29 militants in the span of a month.
ISPR reports indicate that security forces are targeting terrorists and safeguarding innocent civilians, conducting operations along the Pak-Afghan border and adjoining areas.
In Balochistan’s Sambaza region, operations have been ongoing since April 21, as per ISPR. On May 14, a covert operation was carried out based on intelligence, resulting in the martyrdom of Major Babar during the operation.
The situation emphasizes the ongoing challenges faced by Pakistan in combating cross-border terrorism and the sacrifices made by its security forces in maintaining peace and security in the region.
