A passenger bus was attacked by terrorists in Dera Ismail Khan on Saturday, causing panic and distress among travelers.
According to police accounts, assailants forcibly removed passengers from the bus, which was en route from Drazinda to D.I. Khan, and attempted to hijack the vehicle. Subsequently, they set the bus ablaze, resulting in its complete destruction. Reports indicate that the perpetrators also subjected the bus driver to violence during the assault.
Police investigations revealed that prior to the attack, the terrorists had issued warnings to the bus owner, threatening consequences for any support extended to the government. Additionally, they issued dire threats against those who opposed the Taliban or aligned themselves with the government.
Following the attack, the terrorists fled the scene. Law enforcement agencies have initiated rigorous efforts to identify and apprehend the culprits responsible for this reprehensible act.
