Assistant Sub-Inspector Haji Akbar, son of Akbar Khan, was martyred in a shooting by unknown assailants in the jurisdiction of Sarband Police Station. According to police reports, Haji Akbar was stationed at the PAL office in Hayatabad and was traveling on his motorcycle when the assailants opened fire.
