Pakistan celebrates another milestone in its space exploration journey as the PAKSAT-MM1 satellite enters Earth’s orbit with resounding success on June 5th.

The announcement came from the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), confirming the satellite’s successful deployment.

According to sources, the PAKSAT-MM1 is positioned at an altitude of 38,786 kilometers above the Earth, with longitude 38.2 degrees East in geostationary orbit.

Following its orbital insertion, the satellite’s solar panels have commenced operations, signaling the beginning of its functional phase. SUPARCO spokesperson revealed that multiple tests have been conducted to assess the satellite’s condition and performance.

PAKSAT-MM1, a geostationary communication satellite, boasts state-of-the-art communication technology. Its deployment is expected to enhance communication services and provide invaluable support to the country’s consumers.

The PAKSAT-MM1 was launched on May 30th from the China’s Xi Chang Satellite Launch Center, marking a collaborative effort between Pakistan and China in the realm of space exploration.
