Despite concerns within the Democratic Party’s top leadership about preserving leadership roles, President Joe Biden has unequivocally denied stepping aside from the presidential race following disappointing performances.
Recent reports indicate that due to President Biden’s lackluster performance, discussions have emerged within senior Democratic circles regarding the possibility of replacing him as the presidential hopeful.
Following these discussions, there was some turmoil within the Democratic camp. However, Biden has clarified that he awaits the next debate with Republican adversary Donald Trump.
In the initial discussions, some Democrats criticized Biden for not being able to run for re-election and suggested that maybe his age does not allow him to fulfill presidential responsibilities for the next four years.
Party leaders also demanded that the Democratic Party should present a new and strong candidate at the convention. However, Biden has made it clear that they will remain the candidate. Biden’s words were that when someone knocks you down, you get up again. He knows that he is not young but will stay in the race.
