The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has disclosed the fixed charges applicable to domestic electricity consumers, effective from July 1st.
According to the newly revealed details, consumers using up to 200 units will not be subjected to any fixed charges. However, for those consuming between 301 to 400 units, a monthly fixed charge of Rs. 200 will apply. Consumers falling within the 401 to 500 units bracket will face a fixed charge of Rs. 400 per month.
Similarly, users consuming 501 to 600 units will be billed Rs. 600 monthly, while those in the 601 to 700 units range will incur a fixed charge of Rs. 800 per month. Consumers exceeding 700 units will encounter a fixed charge of Rs. 1,000.
