Iranian officials have made it clear that a direct attack on Israel could be postponed only if a ceasefire is reached in Gaza.
According to British news agencies, Iranian authorities have stated that if the ceasefire negotiations collapse or if Israel withdraws from the talks, Iran will not hesitate to launch a direct assault.
This warning follows Iran’s vow to avenge the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh on Iranian soil. The situation has escalated as the U.S. and European nations intensify diplomatic efforts to prevent Iran from taking retaliatory action. The U.S. has also urged Turkey to persuade Iran to de-escalate the situation.
In response to these diplomatic pressures, Iran has rebuffed the calls for restraint from Britain, France, and Germany. The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that advising Iran to show restraint while failing to stop Israeli attacks on Gaza reflects a lack of political insight and goes against international legal principles.
