Senior Hamas official, Osama Hamdan, has stated that despite the heavy losses endured, Hamas retains its full capacity to continue its fight against Israel and deliver a powerful response.
In an exclusive interview, Hamdan emphasized that even after more than 11 months of conflict in Gaza, the Palestinian movement still has the necessary resources to carry on the battle.
Hamdan acknowledged the sacrifices made, with many lives lost, but emphasized that in return, Hamas has gained a wealth of experience. He highlighted that the resistance movement has successfully recruited a new generation of fighters, ready to continue the cause.
He further criticized the lack of international pressure, particularly from the United States, on Israel. Hamdan remarked that the U.S., Israel’s key military ally, has not applied enough pressure on Prime Minister Netanyahu to ease the war, which has led to ongoing bloodshed. He accused the American administration of not doing enough to rein in Israel’s actions, arguing that the U.S. provides excuses for Israel to avoid any commitments to peace.
Hamdan also noted that the number of Hamas fighters killed during the military campaign is no fewer than 17,000, showing the heavy toll the war has taken on both sides, yet the fight for Palestinian rights continues with resilience.
