Islamabad: Amid the ongoing crackdown against the PTI, the police have arrested Aleema Khan, Naureen Khan and Uzma Khan — sisters of former prime minister Imran Khan— in Islamabad.
Islamabad Inspector General of Police has said that more than 30 people have been arrested for violating Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
Mobile phone services partially restored in Rawalpindi
After hours-long suspension, cellular services have been partially restored in Rawalpindi on Friday evening.
Ahead of the PTI’s planned rally, mobile networks and internet services had been suspended in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that he was very clear that PTI’s supporters wanted to “inavde” Islamabad.
Talking to journalists at D-Chowk, the interior minister said that everyone has the right to protest but the PTI activists are “coming with weapons to attack”.
“We will not allow anyone to damage property. Yesterday, we requested them not to hold rallies or protests at this time.”
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur is a Pakistani citizen and he should reconsider his actions, he said, adding that he can record his party’s protest anywhere inside his province.
