In Peshawar’s suburban area of Regi Safed Sang, a man was shot dead after removing another individual from a WhatsApp group.
According to police reports, the victim, Mushtaq Ahmed, was the administrator of a local WhatsApp group. He had removed the suspect, identified as Ashfaq, from the group, leading to a heated dispute between them. The situation escalated when both parties agreed to meet for reconciliation. However, during their meeting, Ashfaq allegedly opened fire on Mushtaq, resulting in his immediate death.
The victim’s brother, Humayun Khan, filed a report stating that the disagreement arose over the group’s administration. Despite attempts at reconciliation, the suspect resorted to violence. Law enforcement authorities have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter.
Authorities urge citizens to exercise patience and seek peaceful resolutions to conflicts, emphasizing that violence is never a justified response to disagreements, whether online or offline.
