Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has further strengthened his legal team by inducting Advocate Ali Zaman from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This strategic move aims to bolster Khan’s defense in ongoing legal proceedings.
Advocate Ali Zaman is a prominent figure in the legal community of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He serves as a member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council, representing District Peshawar. In the February 8, 2024, general elections, Zaman was the PTI candidate for the PK-73 constituency.
In June 2024, Zaman survived an assassination attempt in Peshawar. The attack, condemned by PTI officials, led to widespread protests and strikes by the legal community.
This development follows recent additions to Khan’s legal team. In January 2025, prominent lawyers Salman Akram Raja and Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry were brought on board to represent Khan in the General Headquarters (GHQ) attack case. Their expertise has been crucial in steering through the intricate legal challenges of the case.
