Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned on Wednesday that Israel would intensify its pressure on Hamas if the Palestinian group refused to release hostages still held in Gaza.
“The more Hamas persists in its refusal to release our hostages, the stronger the pressure we will exert,” Netanyahu told parliament.
“I say this to my colleagues in the Knesset, and I say it to Hamas as well: This includes the seizure of territories, along with other measures I will not elaborate here,” he said.
Israeli army issues forced evacuation orders for parts of Gaza City
An Arab language spokesperson for the Israeli army, Avichay Adraee, has issued a forced displacement order for all residents of Gaza City’s Zeitoun, Tal al-Hawa and Sheikh Ijlin neihgbourhoods on behalf of the army.
The spokesperson said this was a final warning to flee to the south of Wadi Gaza through al-Rashid Street before Israeli forces start to bomb them.
830 people killed since Israel ended two-month ceasefire in Gaza in March: health ministry
The Health Ministry in Gaza says 39 corpses, including one recently recovered, arrived in hospitals across the besieged territory over the past 24 hours.
The ministry says another 124 people were wounded in Israeli attacks.
This brings the total number of confirmed death to 50,183 with 113,828 people wounded, thhe ministry says.
The number includes at least 830 people killed 1,787 wounded since Israel ended two-month ceasefire on March 18.
FO says Pakistani passports not valid for travel to Israel
Foreign Office has clarified that Pakistani passports explicitly state that they are “not valid for travel to Israel.
Responding to the reports regarding Pakistani journalists travelling to Israel, Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said no such visit is possible under existing regulations.
He reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to a just and peaceful resolution of the Palestinian issue in accordance with relevant UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Palestinian people.
