Peshawar: A heroin factory was sealed in Peshawar today after a successful police operation. Two suspects of drug trafficking were arrested.
An important operation by the Rehman Baba Police Station Saddar Division was undertaken after receiving the news of a secret heroin factory in a residential area in Peshawar. A team consisting of SHO Manzoor Khan and Cadet Sadiq Shah was formed under the leadership of DSP Muhammad Ali. The officers took immediate action upon receiving the information.
The heroin factory cell was set up in an under construction house in a residential area of Peshawar.
The destructive and highly addictive drug was reportedly produced in the factory on a regular basis. The drugs from the factory were distributed in Peshawar and to different cities in Punjab.
Two suspects, Akbar Hussain and Khan Wali, involved in drug trafficking were arrested during the operation. The leader of the group involved in this immoral crime is an Afghan citizen.
For instance, 8 kg of heroin was recovered from the factory which was to be smuggled to Punjab. In addition to the drugs, 5 kg of chemicals, machinery, raw materials and digital scales used in the manufacturing of this destructive drug have also been recovered from the factory.
The arrested accused identified the entire network of the drug manufacturers and distributors during the initial stages of the interrogation. Arrests of criminals destroying lives with this poison are expected soon.
