Peshawar: Voting in NA-31 constituency of Peshawar District is in process. A large number of voters have come out to cast their votes.
Imran Khan, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf, Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, leader Awami National Party, Muhammad Aslam, leader Jamaat-e-Islami, Abdul Qadir, leader Tehreek Jawanaan Pakistan, Saeedullah Khan, leader Pakistan Rah Haq Party, and five independent candidates are contesting for the seat.
The total number of registered voters in the constituency is 4,73,180, of which 2,62,289 are male voters, and 2,10,891 are female voters. The total number of polling stations in the constituency is 265, including 146 male, 117 female, and 2 for male and female combined.
The polling process for the by-elections is progressing in the three constituencies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Adequate arrangements have been made to ensure peaceful elections in the province.
Muhammad Farid Afridi, Provincial Election Commissioner Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, urged the voters of these constituencies to go to the polling stations and cast their votes without any fear, as it is a right and responsibility of every citizen of a nation.
