The statue of the warrior woman in Kachnar Park I-8 Islamabad was desecrated by an unspecified pupil on Wednesday. The structure was damaged due to the tumbling and is being restored to its original position.
The sculpture, Sinf e Ahan, was made in 75 days. The statue is made of galvanized wire. It weighs about 180 kg and is about 8.5 feet tall. The sculpture symbolizes the woman breaking stereotypes.
Capital development authority CDA has mobilized crews to restore the sculpture to its original position. The sculpture was made by the legendary artist Harfan. It represents and pays tribute to the brave women in our culture.
