For the first time in history, commercial activities are about to begin on the moon. With the launch of the Japanese startup spacecraft, the first mission of its kind by a private Japanese company, iSpace, a vision is turning into reality.
According to the foreign news agency, Elon Musk’s SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket was launched for a space journey from the launch center in the US state of Florida. The startup’s chief executive officer, Takeshi Hakamada, said in a statement that their first mission to the moon will allow humans to use it for commercial activities.
iSpace is the first private company that aims to use the lunar surface for commercial purposes. The company claimed the rocket would reach the moon in April 2023. The United Arab Emirates made spacecraft weighs a total of 10 kg. This rocket also carries 2 rovers from the United Arab Emirates.
Although the UAE successfully sent a mission to Mars last year, it will be its first time landing on the moon. If the Gulf rovers successfully land on the surface of the moon, UAE will become the first Muslim country to reach the lunar surface.
The lander also carries 2 robots and a disc (which has a Japanese song record) made by Japan’s space agency. The iSpace Mission desires to carry human life into space.
