Pakistan Army Chief on his way to strengthening ties with the UAE and KSA. For instance, in the meeting held in Riyadh between Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir and Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman, Pakistan agreed to increase military and defense cooperation with Saudi Arabia.
Regional and international issues were also discussed at the meeting. Furthermore, the Saudi Defense Minister stressed strengthening bilateral relations with Pakistan. At the outset of the meeting, the Saudi defense minister congratulated Gen Munir on his appointment as the army chief.
A visit of the Army Chief is also scheduled to the UAE. According to the sources, Army Chief General Asim Munir will meet the top leadership of both brotherly countries. The meetings will focus on mutual interest, military cooperation and relations, and national security issues of the countries.
Delighted to meet the Pakistan Army Chief, Prince Khalid Bin Salman took to Twitter remarking, “Pleased to meet H.E General Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff. We emphasized the strategic partnership between our brotherly countries, reviewed the bilateral military and defense relations, and discussed ways of strengthening our cooperation.”
