Humanity beyond borders . . . Despite tensions between Pakistan and India, the border forces of the two countries exchange sweets as a gesture of goodwill at each other’s religious and national festivals.
On the occasion of India’s 74th Republic Day, sweets and gifts were exchanged between Pakistan Rangers Punjab and Border Security Force (BSF) India at Wagah Border in Lahore. Pakistan Rangers also congratulated the jawans of BSF India on their republic day.
At Lahore’s Wagah border, where Pakistan Rangers Punjab and BSF India jawans battle it out every evening during a joint parade, its a common practice where the two neighbors and arch-enemies exchange greetings and sweets on religious and national festivals.
