A British traveler named Jamie McDonald has set a new Guinness World Record for visiting the Seven Wonders of the World in less than seven days. He accomplished this feat by visiting the Seven Wonders in just six days, 16 hours, and 14 minutes. According to reports, he covered a distance of 22,856 miles and used only public transportation.
What makes Jamie’s achievement even more remarkable is that doctors believed he would spend most of his life in a wheelchair. He had a rare spinal condition called syringomyelia until the age of nine. Despite this adversity, Jamie’s symptoms gradually eased, and he was able to lead a normal life. His journey around the world is a testament to his impressive physical fitness.
Jamie’s entire journey was planned by a global technology company ‘Travelport,’ and he was on his own once he started his journey. He had to follow specific rules, including using only scheduled public transport with licensed taxi rides, keeping a logbook with clearly indexed evidence of his visits, using accurate professional equipment, taking proper photos and videos and obtaining a written statement from an official dignitary at each site.
