The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has initiated a high-stakes inquiry that aims to expose a web of corruption, misappropriation of funds, and nepotism in the Tehsil Government of Matta.
The primary target of this investigation is none other than Abdullah, the brother of former Chief Minister Mehmood Khan. Shockwaves reverberate through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as NAB delves into the utilization of development funds, grants, and the intricate details of contractors, appointments, and officer transfers within the Tehsil Government Matta spanning nearly a decade, from 2013 to 2022.
In a bid to uncover the truth and expose any potential wrongdoing, the National Accountability Bureau has issued a swift and decisive request to the Local Government Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. They have demanded comprehensive details within a tight three-day deadline. The information sought by NAB encompasses special grants, development projects, and specific allocations directed towards Tehsil Matta. Additionally, the investigation extends to scrutinize the grants disbursed by Members of Provincial Assembly (MPAs) and Members of National Assembly (MNAs) for Tehsil Matta since 2013. The focus centers on Abdullah, who served as Tehsil Nazim Matta from 2015 to 2019 and was re-elected as chairman in the 2022 local body elections, raising questions about his previous tenure and potential ongoing improprieties.
