In just three days of Eid, Galliat witnessed an influx of more than 200,000 tourists, bringing joy and excitement to the hill station. According to the spokesperson of Galliat Development Authority, families, children, and holidaymakers reveled in the scenic beauty and tranquility of the region.
During the three-day period, 53,000 vehicles entered Galliat, with 29,000 coming from Murree side and 24,000 from Abbottabad side. To assist and guide the tourists, the Tourist Facilitation Center of Galliat Development Authority was fully operational.
The staff remained on duty for 24 hours during the Eid festivities, ensuring that visitors received the best possible facilities and services. Furthermore, more than two tons of waste from animals sacrificed during Eid were collected and disposed of responsibly, as highlighted by Ahsan Jameed, an official involved in the cleanup operation.
The sacrificial sites were disinfected, and the water sources were cleaned to maintain a hygienic environment for both locals and tourists. The Director General of Galliat Development Authority, in his directive, emphasized providing every possible convenience to the visitors.
Throughout the Eid period, the Galliat Development Authority efficiently managed and supervised all operations to ensure a memorable and hassle-free experience for tourists.
