In a shocking and tragic incident, the city of Peshawar witnessed another targeted attack that claimed the life of a Public Service Commission (PSC) director. Irshad Khan, the director of the examination department, was brutally shot dead while on his way from Charsadda to Peshawar for official duty. The assailants ambushed him near Ranpur on Peshawar’s Ring Road, leaving him and his driver at the mercy of the attackers.
The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Police responded to the scene, collecting vital evidence, including two bullet casings from a 30-bore pistol. An investigation is underway, with police authorities promising to register a case once medico-legal formalities are completed and the deceased’s family is consulted.
