In a recent interview, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Vice Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), expressed his belief that the decision regarding Imran Khan’s arrest seemed pre-determined. He expressed surprise at the High Court’s decision to send the case back to the same court, contrary to PTI’s demands.
Qureshi further questioned how the police had advance knowledge to be present at the scene in Parliament Park when the decision was announced later in the session court. He found it perplexing that the case’s verdict was seemingly predetermined, without fulfilling PTI’s demands.
Though initially not confirming Imran Khan’s arrest, Qureshi stated that the information about his detention was unreliable. He raised doubts about the timing of the court’s decision, questioning whether it was rushed, and whether Imran Khan received a fair trial.
The PTI Vice Chairman highlighted discrepancies in the treatment of Imran Khan’s case, emphasizing the need for transparency and justice in the legal process. He urged the people of Pakistan to come out of their houses and protest against what he perceives as an unfair arrest.
