According to the reports, a police security team arrived with a warrant at the Zaman Park residence of the former Prime Minister, where they announced the arrest of the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
According to sources, the police entered the premises and apprehended the PTI Chairman inside his home. During the arrest, one police vehicle entered the compound, while the rest of the raiding team remained outside.
Reportedly, there was a brief conversation between the police officers and the PTI Chairman, who cooperated without resistance. He was then escorted into a vehicle and taken to Islamabad via the Murree Expressway.
Adiala Jail has completed all arrangements after the District and Session Court pronounced the sentence against the PTI Chairman. He will be held in a high-security zone within Adiala Jail.
It is important to note that Islamabad does not have its own jail, and all prisoners, including high-profile figures, are kept in Adiala Jail. The Rawalpindi Central Jail administration has finalized the required arrangements.
The jail authorities assure that the PTI Chairman will be provided facilities as per the court’s order during his stay in Adiala Jail.
