Prince Rahim Aga Khan received the award for his leadership in commercial banking, microfinance, insurance, sustainable tourism, and renewable energy. The Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), under his guidance, has provided financial services to nearly 50 million people in Pakistan, significantly boosting economic growth and stability.
Following the award presentation, Prince Rahim Aga Khan met with President Zardari. They discussed the AKDN’s ongoing contributions to Pakistan’s socio-economic development. Sultan Ali Allana, Chairman of Habib Bank Limited, and other senior officials were also present at the meeting.
During the discussions, President Zardari was briefed on various AKDN initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the Pakistani people.
