PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali has firmly denied rumors that Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was offered a deal. Speaking to journalists outside Adiala Jail after meeting with Khan, Gohar Ali stressed that Khan is willing to forgive past grievances for the sake of the country’s progress.
Barrister Gohar stated, “We have been repeatedly calling for negotiations. Imran Khan has not received any deal offer. He is prepared to forgive all injustices against him to move the nation forward.” This declaration came amidst rising political tensions and speculation about backdoor agreements.
During the meeting at Adiala Jail, Khan’s legal team discussed future legal strategies. Gohar Ali highlighted the challenges Khan faces, including restricted communication with his sons. “Imran Khan is only allowed to speak with his children every other week. We are pushing for more frequent contact,” he said.
Gohar Ali also criticized the government’s inefficacy, despite international efforts. “Even after China’s visit, Pakistan gained nothing. The government is failing to manage its expenses,” he remarked, reflecting broader frustrations with the current administration’s performance.
Imran Khan has called on the judiciary to expedite hearings of all cases against him. “We have consistently urged for negotiations to progress, and it is crucial that everyone focuses on this,” emphasized Gohar Ali, underlining the importance of dialogue in the current political climate.
The statement from Gohar Ali comes at a critical time when the nation is grappling with economic challenges and political instability. His call for forgiveness and negotiation marks a significant stance in PTI’s approach to resolving ongoing conflicts.
