PESHAWAR: At least three people including an Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) and his two nephews were killed when unknown armed men fired at a car near Forest Office, on Indus Highway in district Lakki Marwat, police confirmed on Tuesday.
Police said ASI and former MTO of police department, Saad Ullah Khan Titarkhel along with family members was on way to Peshawar for a medical checkup when unidentified armed men fired at their vehicle on Indus Highway near Kurram Toll Plaza.
As a result, the ASI and his two nephews were killed however, luckily the women in the back seat remained unhurt in the tragic incident. Police said the children killed in the firing aged from 8 to 12 years.
Bodies of the deceased were shifted to hospital for medico legal procedure while the area police, after collecting evidence from the crime scene, have started investigation into the incident.
