PESHAWAR: Two young shepherds were strangled to death in Kirdgap tehsil of Balochistan’s Mastung district on Monday.
Kirdgap Levies Deputy Risaldar Muhammad Rahim told the media that two young boys on Sunday left home for grazing cattle in nearby mountain. However, when the two did not return by evening, the family started search but failed to trace them.
Rahim said the bodies of the two were found on Monday morning. The said that they were strangled to death while their livestock were missing.
As soon as the incident was reported, the administration set up roadblocks in search for the culprits and the police and levies of nearby districts were also informed. During the blockade, two persons were arrested at Rind Ali in Dhadar area of Kachhi district adjacent to Mastung, carrying the stolen cattle in a pick-up truck. He said that the accused have been apprehended and further investigation into the case is underway.
