CCP inspects two power companies involved in cartelization
ISLAMABAD: The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) has conducted a search and inspection of the premises of two companies based in Lahore and Gujranwala on the suspicion of facilitating a bid rigging cartel.
The inspection was part of an ongoing inquiry being conducted by CCP, said a press release.
From the information available here, it appeared prima facie that the suppliers of line hardware equipment were coordinating prices and the quantities to be supplied against tenders floated by DISCOs including LESCO, MEPCO and TESCO.
