ETEA cancels tests scheduled for Sep 5
PESHAWAR: Education Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) cancelled its ability tests scheduled for September 5, at Peshawar due to spread of coronavirus, said a notification issued here on Saturday. UoP, adjacent colleges closed The Higher Education Department on Saturday announced the closure of the University of Peshawar and its adjacent colleges due to increase in corona cases. In a notification issued by the Registrar University of Peshawar said the Higher Education Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had announced to close the University of Peshawar due to an increase of Coronavirus. The notification further said that adjacent colleges and schools of the university will also remain closed till further notice. The decision was made in view of the growing number of Corona cases while the classes for the students would continue online. All Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty and administrative officers will be present in the offices as per SOPs, the notification said. Physical classes to be closed at SBBWU Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University (SBBWU) Peshawar will remain closed from August 4 to August 12 to prevent spread of coronavirus in campus, said a notification issued here on Saturday. In pursuance of National Command and Control Centre (NCOC), directions, the academic activities will continue online during this period. Moreover, on-going and pre-scheduled examinations will be conducted as planned with complete observance of Covid-19 health and safety protocols. All staff and students are directed to ensure vaccination and strict observance of the Covid-19 minimum health and safety protocol i.e. thermal scanning, wearing face masks, social distancing, availability and regular use of sanitizers and disinfection of buildings. All Heads of the Departments, teachers, administrative heads and other staff will attend their offices, following the precautionary measures and SOPs regarding COVID-19 for the working environment, notified by the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the University from time to time. - APP5
