Gondal appointed as AGP

ISLAMABAD: The President of Pakistan has approved a summary of PM thereby appointing Muhammad Ajmal Gondal as Auditor General of Pakistan.

The AGP is a constitutional post and the appointment is made for a term of 4 years. Muhammad Ajmal Gondal is the senior-most serving officer of Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service. Earlier he has served on important posts as Member Finance Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, Controller General of Accounts Pakistan, the 55th Accountant General of KP, the Director-General Federal Audit Islamabad. He served in various Ministries/Divisions including Foreign Office, the Establishment Division and Ministry of KA&GB. He belongs to 14 CTP.

An oath-taking ceremony is expected this week.
