No changes in schedule for ICC T20 World Cup: report
NEW DELHI: A source in the International Cricket Council (ICC), while talking to ANI, have confirmed that there are no changes currently being discussed with regards to the schedule of the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia.
The source claimed that no members were asking for changes in the schedule at the current moment.
“Nothing has changed since the board meeting release and no member is asking for a date change as of now,” the source said.
Meanwhile, the ICC had released a statement which claimed that they were monitoring the situation closely and no changes had been made to the previously created schedule.
“In response to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 Local Organising committee is monitoring the situation closely with relevant authorities, and will continue to do so,” ICC said in a statement.
“The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is scheduled to take place from October 18 to November 15 (2020) in seven venues across Australia. We are planning for the event to go ahead as scheduled,” the statement added. - ANI
