PSL vs IPL England’s Tymal Mills tells which is better
Statesman Report
LAHORE: The Indian Premier League (IPL) is the pinnacle of franchise T20 cricket and the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is the new kid on the block.
Where does the new kid stand against the established stud is a question that every Pakistani fan wants answered. Quetta Gladiators fast bowler Tymal Mills is someone who has played in both the competition and is best placed to answer that question.
Cricket site ESPNcricinfo posed that question to Mills in a recent video conference and he made some very good points.
The Englishman said that the IPL is a league in its own and it’s tough for anyone to compete with that but also lauded PSL for the passion its stakeholders have for the game and also for the fact that it’s stacked with genuine fast bowlers.
Mills reserved special praise for Quetta’s young bucks Mohammad Hasnain and Naseem Shah, saying that such is the pace talent at PSL franchises’ disposal that even big-name foreign stars have to fight to get a game.
