109 Corona tests from Manga found negative: CM
PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Mehmood Khan Saturday conveyed a good news from his tweeter account that tests of 109 corona suspects from different parts of Union Council Manga area in district Mardan were found negative by National Institute of Health.
He said it was a good news at this time, adding that the government would carry out disinfectant spray in the area and would gradually open the Union Council.
Speaking high of the government’s precautionary measures in the wake of coronavirus pandemic, he said it proved effectiveness of the lockdown and other actions taken by the government as well as the district administration to control the spread of corona in UC Manga and other affected areas.
“We stand committed to safety of our people,” he said and added that soon the infectious corona disease would be overcome. He urged the masses to cooperate with the government and remain at houses till the situation improves.
Second corona case reported from Shangala
A second corona positive case was reported from Shangla area on Saturday where a male nurse Haider Ali was found corona positive, the Health Department reported.
Haider Ali, 25, was resident of village Bailay Baba and had been working as male nurse at Health department in Kalam. He returned home on March 28 and on March 30 he fell sick.
Due to high fever he was shifted to District Headquarter Hospital where his blood test were taken and sent to Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar for corona test. His test results received positive on late Friday after which he was shifted to isolation ward.
Police and Health teams reached his village Bailay Baba and sealed the whole area. The health department said it was the second case from district Shangla.
Covid-19 infiltration increases in Hazara
Coronavirus infiltration increasing in the districts of the Hazara division. After confirmation of six more COVID-19 patients, the total number increased to 16 in district Abbottabad.
Four members of the family including son and daughter of Major (R) Ilyas who lost his life by the COVID-19 were also tested positive and quarantined at their home in Kehal Abbottabad.
In Banda Sinjlian Abbottabad after confirmation of COVID-19 positive, a husband a wife were also quarantined at their home.
Health department Abbottabad has sent 100 samples of suspected patients of COVID-19 for lab testing where 64 patients were tested negative while 20 test reports were awaited.
In Mansehra, lab test confirmed COVID-19 positive after three days of the death of Khawaja Muhammad Chehran Doga Village of Tehsil Darband Mansehra. According to the details, Khawaja Muhammad lost his life in King Abdullah Hospital Mansehra three days ago where after confirmation of coronavirus a team of health department led by Dr. Usman quarantined 15 members of COVID-19 victim at his native village. - APP
