FPCCI’s office bearers claim credit for reduction in interest rate, opening of Afghan trade
PESHAWAR: President Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and Chairman Businessman Panel, Mian Anjum Nisar has said round the clock opening of Pak-Afghan Trade and reduction in interest rate from 14 to 8 percent were achievements of incumbent office bearers of FPCCI and his group members.
In a press statement issued here on Sunday, the leadership of Businessman Panel had fulfilled its promises made with business community of the country.
Former President FPCCI and General Secretary Businessmen Panel, Haji Ghulam Ali also congratulated office bearers of FPCCI over these landmark achievements and said it was result of joint efforts of the business community.
Haji Ghulam Ali also disclosed that talks were in progress with government for further reduction of interest rate to 7 percent.
He said it was the demand of leadership of Businessmen Panel that commercial activities could not be expedited in the country with high interest rates.
He also thanked government for accepting demand of business community of the country by announcing round the clock opening of Pak-Afghan trade. - APP
