PML-Q rejects PM Imran’s dinner invite
Statesman Report
LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) announced on Sunday that it would not be attending the dinner at Prime Minister Imran Khan’s residence Bani Gala, following Balochistan National Party-Mengal’s (BNP-M) rejection a day ago.
Imran invited the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its coalition parties’ lawmakers to Bani Gala for a dinner.
The purpose of the dinner was to ensure the presence of MNAs of the ruling party and its allies in the National Assembly where PTI’s budget 2020-21 is pending approval, claim sources.
The PML-Q spokesperson confirmed that the federal government contacted the party leadership and invited them to the dinner. However, said the spokesperson, the party leaders will not be attending due to their busy schedules.

Separately, according to PM office media wing, Muhammad Aslam Bhootani, Ghulam Bibi Bharwana members of the National Assembly, and Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) leader Nawabzada Shahzain Bugti also called on the prime minister.
Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) chief Shahzain Bugti retracted the decision of not attending the dinner hosted by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Shahzain Bugti had refused to attend the dinner being hosted by the premier and said he wouldn’t support the government until the promises made to them are fulfilled. “We will support him, if PM Imran issues an order to solve the problems of Balochistan now,” he said.
Shahzain Bugti said that the federal ministers had approached him to attend the dinner but he told them to fulfill the promise they had made.
“Not a single promise of resolving Balochistan’s problems has been fulfilled,” he said and added the issues of power, health, education and the problems of the homeless people of Dera Bugti have not yet been resolved.
Bugti went on to say that the telephonic conversation with Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was good and he would meet him soon. He said they also discussed close relations between Bugti and Bhutto families.
Bilawal Bhutto’s position on the NFC and the 18th Amendment is the same as ours, he said.
