KP Govt to construct monument to corona heroes
PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Local Government (LG), Kamran Bangash said that Local Government Department had decided to build a monument to the heroes who fought against coronavirus.
Expressing views on construction of monument here Monday, he said that students, citizens, professionals and institutions had been asked to submit their designs for the monument’s construction competition.
He said that great the nation will never forget its heroes and purpose of the monument was to salute to the services of heroes including police, journalists and doctors. He said that a committee would be formed to select best design idea for the monument to be constructed by private sector. He said that ideas for design competition can be sent on saluteheroes@lgkp.gov.pk and to Deputy Secretary Admin, Local Government Elections and Rural Development Department, Police Line Road, Civil Secretariat Peshawar by July 25, 2020.
CM condoles Dr Hidayat’s death
Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Monday expressed profound grief over the demise of Dr Hidayat Ullah who died of coronavirus infection.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister prayed for high place in Heaven for the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.
Mahmood Khan said we equally share the grief of the bereaved family at this difficult time, adding services and sacrifices of the health staff would be remembered for long. - APP
