Children hospital to be set up in DI Khan: Ali Amin
PESHAWAR: Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs Ali Amin Khan Gandapur Monday said that steps had been taken for ensuring all health facilities to the people of the DI Khan district and work would be started soon for setting up a children hospital there.
This he said while talking to media persons during his visit to inauguration ceremony of the Mega Sports Projects in Ratta Kulachi Sports Complex.
He said D.I Khan would also get an MRI machine as the present government had given top priority to health and education sectors and involving the youth in healthy sports activities.
“Our priority is on health and education as development work has started in almost every school of the district,” he informed.
He said Degree College No. 3 was providing better facilities to women.
He said the people of Dera Ismail Khan would not go to other cities as land had been identified for the construction of International Airport on which work would start soon.
“We are very grateful to Prime Minister Imran Khan who in the present challenging situation, gave Rs 330 million for a clean drinking water project which will be set up across the district," he added.
The minister said all the promises made by PTI with the people of the district was going to be fulfilled and completion of these projects would prove a game changer for the people of southern districts.
He said work on gigantic projects including Chashma Right Bank Lift Canal (CRBC) and Peshawar to Dera Ismail Khan Motorway would start shortly.
While paying tributes to the front-line workers for showing bravery, courage, determination and support to the people in fighting against COVID-19, he said, the role of front line workers, including doctors, paramedics, nursing, police, Rescue 1122, Class-IV and district administration staff was commendable. - APP
