Quake jolts Mirpur, adjourning areas
MIRPUR: The lake-city of Mirpur, Azad Jammu & Kashmir State, and its adjoining areas were jolted by a mild-intensity earthquake measuring 4.3 magnitude on the Richter Scale at 12.27 a.m. on Tuesday, local authorities have confirmed.
The quake emerging from 5 km deep underground with epicenter at 20 km away in north-west of Jhelum district and 76 KM south-east of Rawalpindi, created panic in different parts of Mirpur city and the district where the tremors last for about 4 to 5 seconds without any pause. - APP
